Imported from Norway as a 3 year-old in foal to Smedsmo Gråen, Luna came to us as an older mare with endless life and to return to her first love, Smeds. We believe that she was one of the highest quality grey mares on the continent. With Luna’s help, we had high hopes of extending the grey gene pool while maintaining quality in conformation, movement and temperament. She generated some outstanding foals… and passed far too young.  She was a gentle soul and those who were fortunate to meet her, were fortunate enough.

We were blessed to have had the opportunity to love and be loved by Luna for 8 years.  She was the cornerstone of our therapy program and the light of our lives.  Rest in peace, lovely mare, spread your unicorn wings and fly far and wide, bringing a smile to every soul in the heavens.  4-27-98 – 1-16-20
