We’re Building a Team!

Sunnyside Farms wishes to welcome our 2024

TEAM of interns and Leaders!

WE are so excited to introduce:

Mia LeBoeuf

Mia is a Junior at Texas A&M studying Animal Science.  She loves working with children and building their confidence through animals.  She is a two-time childhood cancer survivor, and can absolutely relate with Sunnyside’s message of being stronger together.  She shares that she would not be where she is today without the love and support of others.

Celine Jensen Skaar

Celine is 24, raised in Bergen, Norway.  Soon, she will graduate from the University in Oslo with a degree in teaching. Celine loves horses and animals, and has been riding Norwegian Fjord and Icelandic Horses actively for the past seven years, and some as a child.  She loves to travel and considers herself a curious person who enjoys new hobbies and seeking new experiences. She is looking forward to living in a different country, and thinks that Sunnyside Farm will be the perfect place to learn more about horses, animals, people and herself!

Candida Mwingira

Candida  Ernest Mwingira is a Conservation/Environmental Researcher, educator, mother and wife from Tansania, Africa.  She has extensive experience in wilderness survival, field research, forest biodiversity, conservation of African wildlife and preservation of water resources.  She aims to use her abilities to contribute to wildlife conservation and the sustainability of biodiversity resources. She strives to make a positive impact on her home country’s conservation efforts, community education and society as a whole.  She is excited to come to Sunnyside to help mentor children, learn about domestic animal husbandry and immerse herself in American culture.

Celina-Helen Johansen Nørstad

Celina is an 18 year-old woman from the very northern region of Norway.  She is Norwegian, Finnish, Sami and Kvensk, and has ridden horses and owned other animals her entire life.  She currently lives in Spain where she attends school and is exited to come to Sunnyside to experience Montana, get to know and work with new people and of course, the animals.

Sam is a 21 year old Harvard Junior majoring in Vertebrate Biology with plans to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Originally from South Florida, where she grew up with dogs, cats, ducks and chickens.  Sam loves hiking, running and camping, and has much appreciation for Montana after having worked on cattle ranch near Absorkee—an experience that definitely deepened her love for nature and animal care. She is  drawn to the farm setting, finding both joy and fulfillment in working with animals, and looks forward to spending the summer at Sunnyside!
