Sunnyside Farms wishes to welcome our 2025 TEAM of interns and Leaders!

WE are so excited to introduce:

 

Chantelle Sorensen

Chanetlle is a 51 year young grandmother from Cape Town, South Africa by way of Texas, California, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii!  After becoming an empty-nester following a career in the corporate world, she followed her dream of cattle ranching and enthusiasm for horses.  She is thrilled to dive right in, help out and serve farm friends both 2 and 4 legged.  Chantelle deeply appreciates the opportunity to expand her horse-care knowledge and skills at Sunnyside Farms where there is purpose, impact and love.

HannahUllery

 Hannah is a 21 year old equestrian from Kansas City, Mo. She is just finishing up her Junior year at William Woods University, where she in majoring in Equine-Assisted Services.  Hannah is very excited and grateful for the opportunity to intern and gain hands-on experience from Sunnyside Farms.  She is anxious to be part of such a meaningful program  and is looking forward to contributing, learning, and growing throughout this journey!

Jordan Losack

Jordan is a senior Animal Science major at Texas A&M University and proud Texas native. When she isn’t studying, she loves volunteering—especially training service dogs for Guide Dogs for the Blind, something she has been passionate about for the past seven years.  She also enjoys staying active and spending time with friends.

She is excited about the opportunity to intern at Sunnyside Farm because it combines so many of her interests: working with animals, supporting others, and learning from new experiences. The intersection of animal care, helping others, and behavioral health is where she sees her future, and she’s eager to grow in a hands-on, immersive environment like Sunnyside. She can’t wait to see what Montana and this incredible farm have in store!

 Skjalg Magnus Torsheim

Skjalg is an 18 year old fellow from a small village in Western Norway. He grew up on a farm and has worked with animals his entire life.  Appropriately, he is is studying to become an agronomist at Mø University near Førde, Norway.  His is interested in outdoor activities including fishing and hunting.  Montana will suit him right.

 

… and for the second round of interns (starting in August), we introduce to you:

Ignacy Wierzbicki

Ignacy is a 20 year old fellow from Poland. Although he was born in the United States, he has lived in Poland his entire life. He is currently a student of creative writing and, in addition to his love for books, he has a strong interest in geopolitics. For the past 12 years, Ignacy has been an active member of the Polish scouting movement, which has deepened his passion for nature and, most importantly, for working with youth. He is very excited about the opportunity to work at Sunnyside Farms, as it will allow him to connect more deeply with his country of birth and explore American culture firsthand.

 

We also wish to welcome our teen Leaders four our 2025 summer season!

 

Taylar Lieber

Tay spent many summer days with us in 2024.  She is a bright light and a great help.  She’s a true animal lover as she is passionate about wildlife viewing and photography, sledding with her dogs and spending time with her horses.  Once she met her first Fjord horse she was a convert and before we knew it, she had a Sunnyside foal of her own!  Cecil is in good hands with her and your kids will be too.  

 

Roxie Stahlman

Roxie is 14 and lives in Livingston where she enjoys rodeo, ice skating, riding and working with/taking care of her horses, Charlie and Sparrow.  She is looking forward to being a leader at Sunnyside because she loves working with all breeds of horses, and really likes Fjords.  She has enjoyed her time at Sunnyside thus far and is looking forward to learning more about horsemanship.

 

These cool individuals will continue to set positive examples for all of those youngsters

following in their footsteps.
