Alyssa Dykstra
Equine/Human Relations
Board Member – Intern Clinician, Special Events Coordinator

It goes without saying that Alyssa Dykstra is passionate about horses… and humans… married together in a true, safe, and harmonious manner.
It all started in south-central Illinois where Alyssa grew up, riding horses and taking lessons at age 13. At the young age of 18, she followed her passion to Colorado where she was a wrangler on 2 guest ranches and managed to hone-in her horsemanship and teaching skills. Montana came calling so she answered and moved to Big Sky, managing the horse program at Lone Mountain Ranch. No matter the location, Alyssa found that one of the most rewarding elements of the work was teaching horsemanship clinics and helping others build confidence and connection with horses.
The next move brought Alyssa to Livingston, gifted her a devoted husband, a darling stepdaughter and, in a round-about kind of way, Sunnyside. Wendy and Alyssa’s connection deepened as they found parallels in horse and human connections, teaching, and a passion for helping people through positive experiences with horses.
We’re excited and honored to have Alyssa on the team. Her positive energy and love for horses is contagious, and we’re looking forward to it’s reflection on the humans whom we serve.
